These policies apply to every TUIO site, app and service that links to them, including our spoke sites and member account hub.

Information we collect
We collect account data such as your email address, name, profile details, mobile number if you provide it, saved items, communication preferences and taste/interest profile. We collect usage data such as device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed and cookie identifiers, and communications such as support tickets and messages. Authentication also processes credentials, verification codes, account identifiers and session tokens. We record privacy choices and the consent information needed to honor your preferences. We do not buy personal information from third parties.
Sources and choices
We collect information directly from you and from your use of the Services. Account and authentication information is needed to create and secure an account; a mobile number and marketing subscriptions are optional. Without a mobile number and the relevant SMS consent, we cannot send you text messages. We use your taste/interest profile for recommendations, not solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Service providers and advertising partners
We use Base44 for platform hosting and application analytics, Descope for authentication, SendGrid for email delivery, Twilio for SMS delivery, and Google Analytics for usage measurement. Providers receive information needed for their services. We restrict service-provider processing to the service purpose. Separately, advertising partners receive the limited browsing and device data described below and process it under their applicable terms. We also comply with legally binding disclosure obligations. TUIO is responsible for processing across the Services; a shared account does not grant unrestricted access to your communications.
Scope of hub analytics
The TUIO hub at withtu.io is the single home for these policies. It uses Base44 application analytics and runs no Google Analytics or advertising pixels. Google Analytics and advertising pixels run on our spoke sites, which are also covered by these policies. The hub’s browser controls do not automatically change tracking choices on other sites.
Advertising sharing and your opt-out
We do not sell personal information for money. We share limited browsing and device data with advertising partners (such as Meta and Google) through pixels and cookies, which may count as 'sharing' under California law. You can opt out below.
How to opt out
Select “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in the footer to turn advertising off and open Cookie settings, or switch off advertising in Cookie settings. Global Privacy Control automatically turns advertising off everywhere as an opt-out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising, overriding earlier advertising consent. Analytics follows your regional defaults and saved choice. You can additionally submit an opt-out through Messages or Hello@withTU.IO without creating an account. Browser choices apply to the current browser and origin; use the controls on other Services you visit or contact us for assistance with a broader request.
Regional cookie choices
Outside the EU, UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are on by default and can be turned off any time through Cookie settings. The Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link turns advertising off and opens the settings, where analytics can also be turned off. Scrolling or navigating counts as continuing outside those regions, and OK dismisses the notice. In the EU, UK and Switzerland, optional categories stay off until you accept or explicitly enable them and Save in Manage; continuing to browse is not consent there. Global Privacy Control turns advertising off everywhere. This hub selects the opt-in notice using specific browser timezones associated with these regions and other EEA locations, not language alone. Unknown or ambiguous timezones use on-by-default choices. Timezone is an estimate, not proof of physical location; saved choices and Global Privacy Control continue to take precedence. Choices and dismissal are remembered for 180 days on this browser and origin.
AI and member information
We do not send user content to AI providers for training, and we do not use member data to train models. The AI Use & Disclosure policy explains AI-assisted content and human review.
External affiliate links
Clicking an Amazon affiliate link takes you to Amazon, where Amazon’s privacy policy applies to its processing. Our responsibility for information we handle does not transfer to Amazon merely because you follow a link.
Retention
We retain account data while your account is active and for 30 days after account deletion; support and message history for 2 years; and server and security logs for 12 months. We retain marketing consent records for as long as marketing continues. These periods do not override a legal obligation to preserve a particular record or your applicable rights. Published contributions are governed by the Contributor Agreement rather than the account-data schedule.
Marketing email
We send marketing email with your consent from a TUIO address, include PO Box 1231, Columbia, SC 29202 in the footer, and provide a working unsubscribe link in every marketing email. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Transactional email, such as sign-in codes and account alerts, is separate from marketing and cannot be unsubscribed from while an account is active. This does not remove your right to close an account or revoke SMS consent.
Your privacy rights
You can request access, correction, deletion and other applicable rights by signing in and opening a support ticket in Messages, or by emailing Hello@withTU.IO. Email requests do not require an account. Identify the relevant interaction and the right you wish to exercise; never send a password or sign-in code. We use proportionate verification and explain any lawful refusal. The US State Rights and European Privacy Rights policies provide further details. Cookie settings, marketing opt-outs and account deletion are separate choices.
Adults only
The Services and accounts are for people aged 18 or older. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us through Messages or Hello@withTU.IO so we can delete it.
Security and international transfers
We use safeguards appropriate to the personal information and risks involved; no service guarantees absolute security. Data is processed in the United States. Restricted transfers rely on standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum in our contracts with service providers. Contact us to request information or a copy of applicable safeguards, with confidential information protected as required.
Updates
We identify the effective date at the top of this policy and provide additional notice or obtain renewed consent when applicable law requires it. A policy update does not override an opt-out.
Terms of Use
Our agreement with you.
Eligibility and acceptance
TUIO is your contracting entity. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Use. You must be at least 18 years old. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Terms presented for a particular transaction supplement these terms; mandatory legal protections always apply.
Your account
Provide accurate account information, protect credentials and sign-in codes, and use only permissions granted to you. Report suspected unauthorized access by opening a support ticket in Messages or emailing Hello@withTU.IO. Do not share access that permits another person to act as you.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Services unlawfully, impersonate anyone, access restricted information without permission, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, submit unlawful or defamatory content, interfere with security, or overload the Services with automated tools. Do not scrape or republish protected material without permission or another lawful basis. These rules do not restrict rights granted by law.
Content ownership
TUIO and the respective rights holders retain ownership of text, images, software, branding and other content. You may share links. Reuse of protected material requires a license or legal exception. Contributions are governed by the Contributor Agreement accepted at submission; merely visiting the Services does not grant TUIO rights to your work.
Information and outside services
Content provides general information, not guaranteed accuracy, availability, outcomes or professional advice. Verify important information with authoritative sources. Outside providers operate under their own terms. We do not guarantee their services or remove your rights against them.
Membership today and conditional paid-feature terms
TUIO membership is free today. No paid features are currently live. The following billing terms apply if and when we offer paid features. When you choose a paid recurring feature, the price, billing interval and recurring nature are presented before purchase. The subscription renews until you cancel from your account. You can cancel anytime to prevent the next renewal and retain access through the paid period. We do not provide partial-period refunds except where required by law. We give at least 30 days’ notice of price changes before they apply to a future billing period so you can cancel beforehand. This clause does not itself enroll you in a paid feature.
Account termination
You can request account closure through Messages or Hello@withTU.IO. We can suspend or terminate access or remove content when reasonably necessary to address a breach, protect users or the Services, or comply with law. We provide an explanation where practical and lawful and respect applicable notice and appeal requirements. Termination does not cancel accrued payment obligations or rights and licenses that expressly survive it.
Availability and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. TUIO is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, or indirect lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities arising from the Services or these terms, even if advised of their possibility. TUIO’s total aggregate liability for claims arising from the Services or these terms is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amounts you paid to TUIO in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability or mandatory consumer remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Governing law and informal resolution
South Carolina law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, subject to mandatory protections in your place of residence. Before starting arbitration, either party must send written notice describing the dispute, relevant facts and requested relief. Send your notice through a support ticket in Messages or Hello@withTU.IO; TUIO sends its notice to your account email. Both parties attempt informal resolution for 30 days after receipt, unless applicable law requires otherwise. This process does not prevent a timely small-claims filing or a complaint to a regulator.
Binding individual arbitration
Except for eligible individual small-claims cases and disputes for which arbitration is prohibited by law, you and TUIO agree to resolve disputes arising from the Services or these terms by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this arbitration agreement. The AAA rules govern filing, fees, selection of a neutral arbitrator and hearing arrangements; TUIO pays fees the rules or law require it to pay. Proceedings can take place remotely or in a location provided by those rules, with no requirement that a consumer travel to South Carolina contrary to those rules or law. The arbitrator can award individual remedies available in court, subject to these terms and nonwaivable rights. Judgment on the award can be entered in a court with jurisdiction. Either party can bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court. Courts decide the enforceability of this arbitration agreement and the class-action waiver; an arbitrator decides the merits of an arbitrable dispute.
Class-action waiver and opt-out
To the extent permitted by law, you and TUIO bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective or representative proceeding. The arbitrator cannot combine claims or conduct class or representative arbitration without both parties’ written agreement. If this waiver is unenforceable for a particular claim or remedy, that claim or remedy proceeds in a court with jurisdiction, not class arbitration, and the remaining enforceable provisions continue. You can opt out of arbitration and this class-action waiver by emailing Hello@withTU.IO within 30 days after creating your account, stating your name, account email and that you opt out. Opting out does not affect your account or other terms. Nothing limits a nonwaivable right to public injunctive relief or other mandatory protection.
Changes and contact
We identify the effective date and provide any notice and opportunity to accept material changes required by law. An update does not retroactively change an existing dispute without agreement. Contact TUIO through Messages or Hello@withTU.IO; no account is needed to email us.
Mobile Messaging Terms & Consent
Account alerts and separately chosen marketing.
Program
TUIO uses Twilio to send SMS account alerts and, with separate consent, marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates apply according to your carrier plan. Delivery depends on your provider, carrier and network and is not guaranteed.
Separate affirmative consent
We collect alerts and marketing consent separately through unchecked opt-in boxes. Providing a number for another purpose does not enroll it in either program. Consent is not a condition of purchase or creating an account, and declining marketing does not prevent use of the Services. Only subscribe with a number you own or are authorized to use.
Account-alert disclosure
By checking this box you agree to receive alerts text messages from TUIO at the number provided. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Messaging Terms.
Marketing disclosure
By checking this box you agree to receive marketing text messages from TUIO at the number provided. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Messaging Terms.
Revocation
You can revoke SMS consent by replying STOP or by any reasonable reply expressing that choice, such as stop, unsubscribe, quit, cancel or end; by signing in and opening a support ticket in Messages; or by emailing Hello@withTU.IO without an account. We honor revocation within 10 business days and send one non-marketing confirmation message. The confirmation does not require a reply to make your opt-out effective. Revocation applies to the consent you withdraw, including account-alert consent; essential transactional email remains separate.
Help and sending hours
Reply HELP for help, use Messages or email Hello@withTU.IO. We do not send program texts between 9pm and 8am in the recipient’s local time and apply any stricter legal sending-hour limits.
Privacy and number changes
Opt-in data is never shared with third parties. Twilio processes the mobile number and delivery instructions needed to send authorized messages for TUIO, not for their own marketing. We retain marketing consent records for as long as marketing continues, as described in the Privacy Policy. Tell us through Messages or email before giving up or transferring a subscribed number.
Changes
A policy update does not cancel an opt-out or expand your consent. We provide required notices and obtain additional consent when legally required for a changed use.

California scope and practices
This notice supplements the Privacy Policy for California residents. We collect the categories above from you and your use of the Services, for the purposes in the Privacy Policy’s purpose table, and disclose personal information to service providers acting for TUIO. We do not buy data. In the preceding 12 months, we shared identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners, including Meta and Google, through pixels and cookies for advertising and measurement. This constitutes sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising where covered by California law. We did not sell personal information for money. The Privacy Policy states our retention periods.
Your California rights
Subject to applicable law and exceptions, you have rights to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you, its sources, purposes and recipients; delete personal information; correct inaccurate information; opt out of sale or sharing; limit covered use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and exercise these rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation. Authentication credentials are sensitive information and are used to secure and provide requested account access.
Requests and verification
Sign in and open a support ticket in Messages or email Hello@withTU.IO. Email requests do not require an account, and we do not require you to create one to exercise a right. Tell us which right you are exercising and enough information to locate the relevant records. We verify requests to know, delete or correct with information proportionate to the request and the sensitivity of the records; never send a password or one-time code. Opt-outs do not require the same verification as requests for personal data.
Authorized agents
An authorized agent can submit a request by email. We request evidence of the agent’s authority and, where law permits, direct verification of your identity or confirmation of the authorization. We respect applicable exceptions, including qualifying powers of attorney.
Response periods
We acknowledge requests to know, delete or correct within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If a legally permitted extension is necessary, we explain the reason and extended deadline within the initial period; an extension does not exceed 45 additional days. We implement covered opt-out and sensitive-information limitation requests as soon as feasible and within 15 business days. We explain any lawful refusal.
Opt-out methods and Global Privacy Control
Select “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in the footer to turn advertising off and open Cookie settings, disable advertising in Cookie settings, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser. We honor Global Privacy Control automatically as an opt-out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising, overriding advertising consent. You can also opt out through Messages or Hello@withTU.IO. No account or verified request is required for a browser opt-out. Browser preferences apply to the current browser and origin; for other Services, use their controls or contact us for assistance. These choices do not delete an account or unsubscribe you from email or SMS.
Other US states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and Oregon, have the same rights described here, subject to the applicable law and its exceptions, plus the right to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling in furtherance of decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. We do not currently offer such automated decision features. Submit a request through Messages or Hello@withTU.IO without creating an account.
Appeals
To appeal a refused request under an applicable state privacy law, reply to our decision through the same ticket or email and explain your concern. We answer appeals within 45 days, provide our decision and reasons, and explain how to contact the relevant state attorney general or regulator if the appeal is denied.

European Privacy Rights
For individuals in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
Scope and controller
This policy applies to individuals in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, under the law applicable to their information. TUIO, PO Box 1231, Columbia, SC 29202, is the controller. Contact Hello@withTU.IO or sign in and open a support ticket in Messages.
Lawful bases
We rely on contract for accounts, requested functionality and transactional account communications; consent for marketing, non-essential analytics, advertising cookies and pixels, and SMS; legitimate interests for security and fraud prevention; and legal obligation for required compliance processing. Our legitimate interests are protecting users and the Services and understanding and improving their use. We assess those interests against your rights. The Privacy Policy maps each purpose to its information and basis. An analytics interest does not override a separate consent requirement for non-essential storage.
International transfers
Your data is processed in the United States. For restricted transfers, our contracts with service providers rely on standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum, with the applicable Swiss adaptations where required. Contact us for information about or a copy of relevant safeguards, subject to protection of confidential information.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions and exceptions, you can access your personal information, rectify it, request erasure or restriction, obtain portable information, object to processing and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. You can object to direct marketing and related profiling at any time. Portability applies where the legal conditions are met, including qualifying automated processing based on consent or contract.
Requests and timing
Submit a support ticket in Messages or email Hello@withTU.IO; email requests do not require an account. We respond without undue delay and within one month. Where permitted by law, complexity or the number of requests can justify up to two further months, with notice and reasons within the first month. We request proportionate additional information only when needed to resolve reasonable doubts about identity. Requests are generally free, subject to limited legal exceptions; a refusal includes reasons and available remedies.
Automated decisions
We use taste/interest profiles for personalized recommendations. We do not currently offer AI chat or automated decision features with legal or similarly significant effects. If we introduce them, we disclose the feature and applicable safeguards in the product.
Complaints
We ask you to raise a concern with us first through Messages or Hello@withTU.IO so we can address it. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days, investigate and explain the outcome without undue delay. You can also complain to your competent supervisory authority, including the ICO in the UK or the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland. Contacting us first is a request, not a condition of exercising a regulatory or judicial remedy.
AI Use & Disclosure
Human accountability for AI-assisted content.
All content
This policy covers all content across the Services, not only editorial articles. Some content may be created or edited with AI tools and is reviewed by a person before publication. AI-assisted content carries the colophon “Crafted with the Help of AI”. TUIO remains accountable for the material it publishes.
Review and accuracy
A responsible person checks material factual claims, sources, context, rights and suitability before publication. AI output is not evidence merely because it sounds confident. We do not use AI to fabricate sources, quotations or first-hand experience. Contributors disclose material AI assistance at submission.
Visual disclosure
AI-assisted images, video and graphics are identified through the colophon and any additional labeling needed to avoid deception or meet applicable law. Generated content is not presented as documentary evidence of a real person, place or event.
Personal information and tools
We do not submit sensitive or unnecessary personal information to AI tools. We do not send user content to AI providers for training, and we do not use member data to train models. AI processing remains subject to the Privacy Policy, appropriate service-provider arrangements and applicable rights.
Product features
We do not currently offer AI chat or automated decision features. If we add any, we disclose them in the product, including their role and applicable user safeguards.

Editorial Policy
Accuracy, disclosure and corrections.
Accountability and accuracy
Turner, TUIO, is the accountable reviewer. We check material factual claims against reliable sources, assess details readers act on and distinguish observed experience, sourced information, opinion and uncertainty. We do not invent first-hand experiences or present advertising as independent reporting.
Sources, rights and editing
We credit sources and creators, follow licenses and reject plagiarism and unauthorized reuse. Reviewers edit for accuracy, clarity and suitability, or decline publication. AI-assisted material follows the AI Use & Disclosure policy and receives human review.
Commercial disclosure
Contributors disclose relevant gifts, discounts, products, travel, accommodation, sponsorship and other commercial connections. Articles containing affiliate links display this disclosure at the top: “This story contains affiliate links. TUIO may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, TUIO earns from qualifying purchases.” Sponsored pieces carry a “Sponsored” label in the same position; articles that are both sponsored and affiliate-supported display both.
Corrections
Sign in and open a support ticket in Messages to report an editorial correction, identifying the article, the disputed statement and supporting information. Turner reviews the report. Corrections are noted on the article with the date, rather than silently changing a material error. We consider the evidence and explain the outcome through the ticket.
Other concerns
General editorial questions can also be emailed to Hello@withTU.IO. Privacy-rights and accessibility requests are accepted by email without creating an account; the ticket requirement for editorial corrections does not restrict those rights.
Contributor Agreement
Ownership, publication and continuing rights.
Ownership and acceptance
You retain copyright in your original work. By submitting work under this agreement after it is presented to you, you accept these contribution terms. Merely visiting the Services does not license your work. You must be 18 or older to contribute.
License and exclusive period
You grant TUIO an exclusive, worldwide license to publish, archive, adapt, excerpt and promote your submitted work for 90 days from its first publication by TUIO. After those 90 days, you grant TUIO a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, archive, adapt, excerpt and promote the work across all TUIO Services and social channels, including through our service providers acting on our behalf. Before first publication, TUIO can review, edit and prepare an accepted work for publication.
Attribution and republication
We attribute published work by the agreed byline. After the exclusive period, you can republish the work with credit to its original publication. We identify which contributor profile details, such as a name, biography or photograph, appear publicly; unrelated account information remains private.
Compensation
There is no compensation unless separately agreed in writing before submission. Submission, review, editing, acceptance or publication alone does not create an entitlement to payment. Any written payment agreement governs the work it expressly covers.
Your warranties
You warrant that the work is original to you or that you hold all rights needed to grant this license; that submitted images and other materials have the necessary permissions and accurate credits; and that publication does not infringe copyright, privacy or other rights. Disclose prior publication, material AI assistance and commercial relationships. Check important factual claims and do not submit unlawful or defamatory material.
Moral rights
To the extent permitted by law, you waive moral rights in the work as necessary for TUIO and its service providers to exercise the licensed rights, including authorized editing, adaptation and promotion. Where waiver is not permitted, no nonwaivable right is removed. Our contractual commitment to the agreed byline remains.
Editing and publication
We can edit for accuracy, clarity, length and presentation, and discuss substantive changes to meaning where practical. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Content and commercial disclosures remain subject to the Editorial Policy and AI Use & Disclosure policy.
Termination and removal
Either party can terminate this agreement on 30 days’ written notice. Send notice through a support ticket in Messages or Hello@withTU.IO; TUIO sends notice to your contact email. Already-published work remains available under the non-exclusive license after termination. On your request, we remove a work from live pages within 30 days, except social posts already made. Removal from live pages does not revoke the surviving license or require deletion of non-public archival records. TUIO does not use the surviving license to defeat a live-page removal request by reposting the work there without your agreement.
Relationship and applicable terms
This agreement does not itself create employment, a partnership or an agency relationship; applicable worker-status law remains controlling. The Terms of Use govern matters not specifically addressed here.
Accessibility Statement
Access across the Services.
Standard and scope
Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across all Services. Status: partially conforms. This is TUIO’s stated status, not an independent certification or a claim that all pages meet every success criterion.
Known limitation identified from code
The Policy Center’s automatically looping background video has no on-page pause or stop control. It displays a still image when the device requests reduced motion. The absence of an on-page control requires assessment against WCAG 2.2.2. This is a source-code observation, not a finding from an automated audit.
Evaluation coverage
